The Black Medic Plexus is a network which prides itself in building a strong community and network for black medical students across the UK. The platform was created to mould a supportive space for black medics based on community and work-life balance

🎞 Summer Highlights
The last few months have been jampacked for everyone at BMP. We launched our very first sold-out virtual networking event, which boasted award-winning medical student speakers and doctors. We received great feedback from you all, and we look forward to hosting more in-person events in the future!
BMP delved into the admission process by adding our own unique touch! We collaborated with Medic Mentality and hosted a UCAT workshop! We also got our first member content contribution, where Uwa gave her top tips for medical school applications!
We launched our ‘Medic of The Week’ series on Instagram! This features members from the network who embody the values of BMP - such as having a great work-life balance. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone you know, feel free to DM us!
It’s also our one year anniversary! It’s been a year since BMP was first created, and we wanted to extend our thanks to the members of the network and the team who have made this possible! Shout out to the founder and CEO, Sharon! Check out this video which recapped our year.
🧼 New Content to Check Out!
Our BMP network member, Natalie Bonsu, made an informative post centred around Sexual Health Week (13th September - 19th September 2021). Check it out as she demystifies some of the common misconceptions around STIs!
